Itinerary:
👥 08:30 AM – Meet at Al Hoota Visitor Centre
Begin your day at the visitor centre located at the foothills of Jebel Shams. Receive a full safety briefing and get equipped with helmets, harnesses, and cave gear from your certified guides.
🚐 08:45 AM – Scenic Ride to Cave Entrance
Enjoy a short transfer through the landscaped valley to the hidden cave entrance — a natural gateway into Oman’s underground world.
🌄 09:00 AM – Begin the Cave Crossing
Start your 5 km underground journey: scramble over ancient rocks, swim through crystal-clear pools (some as long as 800 m), abseil short drops, and pass dramatic formations like the “Golden Passage” and hidden waterfalls.
💧 01:00 PM – Deep Zone Swim & Hidden Waterfall
Cross into the deepest section of the cave. This section includes swimming and navigating beautiful flooded chambers surrounded by silence and darkness.
🦁 04:00 PM – Exit through Show Cave Tunnel
Conclude the underground adventure by walking along a softly illuminated tunnel with views of the famous “Lion” formation and underground lake chambers.
🏛 04:30 PM – Visit Geological Museum & Café
Relax at the on-site museum and café. Learn about Oman’s geological history, cave ecology, and blind fish native to Al Hoota.
🚐 05:00 PM – Return to Visitor Centre
The adventure ends back at the starting point — now with a deep connection to Oman’s hidden underground world.
