Wadi Nakhr, also known as the Grand Canyon of Oman, is one of the most breathtaking natural wonders in the country. This adventure lets you experience the canyon’s dramatic depth from within - combining off-road exploration, guided hiking, and abseiling into crystal-clear mountain lakes. It’s the perfect mix of beauty, fun, and light adventure - no prior experience needed.

Itinerary:
🚗 6:30 AM - Pick-up from Your Location in Muscat
Our guides will collect you from Muscat in private 4x4 vehicles. Enjoy a 2-hour drive toward the Al Hajar Mountains followed by a short off-road section into Wadi Nakhr.
🏜️ 9:00 AM - Off-Road Descent into the Canyon
Begin your off-road adventure into Oman’s Grand Canyon. Navigate rocky paths surrounded by towering cliffs, stopping for scenic photos along the way.
🥾 9:30 AM - Hike to the Hidden Cave Lake
Take a light hike through the canyon floor to reach a peaceful lake nestled inside an open cave. The walk is scenic, with plenty of photo spots.
🌊 10:30 AM - Relaxation & Swimming Break
Enjoy free time by the water to swim, relax, and explore. This spot is ideal for quiet reflection, photography, or just soaking in the natural beauty.
🧗 11:30 AM - Abseiling into Natural Pools
Experience two beginner-friendly abseils (12–18m) into crystal-clear canyon pools. Fully guided and safe, this is the highlight of the day.
🏡 1:00 PM - Traditional Village Visit & Canyon Exit
Visit the remains of a traditional mountain village tucked inside the canyon. Afterward, begin the off-road drive back up to the plateau.
🍽️ 2:00 PM - Lunch & Return to Muscat
Enjoy a traditional Omani lunch with mountain views. After lunch, depart back to Muscat and arrive around 5:00 PM.
