Two days. 270 meters underground. One complete cave crossing. Descend through three massive vertical drops, camp deep beneath the surface, and spend the following day navigating one of Oman's most extraordinary cave systems before emerging through Tahri Cave.

Day 1 – Descent Into the 7th Hole & Underground Camp

Your expedition begins with an early departure from Muscat and a journey deep into the remote Salmah Plateau before descending 270 m beneath the surface.

• 🕕 ~5:30–6:00 AM – Pick-up from you location in Muscat

• 🚙 Private 4x4 drive towards Salmah Plateau

• ⛰️ Mountain off-road journey to the 7th Hole entrance

• 📋 Safety briefing, equipment preparation & technical check

• 🧗 Begin the spectacular multi-stage descent into the cave:

120 m first abseil 50 m second abseil 100 m final descent

• 🌑 Reach the enormous underground chamber approximately 270 m below the surface

• ⛺ Set up camp inside the cave

• 🍽️ Warm dinner & overnight in complete underground darkness

Overnight: Underground Cave Camp

Day 2 – Underground Traverse & Exit Through Tahri Cave

Wake up deep beneath the mountains and begin a full day of technical underground exploration towards the remote Tahri Cave exit.

• 🌄 Breakfast & preparation of equipment

• 🔦 Begin the 7–8 hour underground traverse

• ⛰️ Navigate narrow passages, large fossil chambers & technical sections

• 💧 Cross underground water pools

• 🧗‍♂️ Multiple abseils throughout the cave system

• 🧗 SRT rope ascents where required

• 💎 Explore the spectacular Crystal Chamber

• ☀️ Emerge back into daylight through Tahri Cave

• 🥾 Continue with a ~4 km mountain hike across the plateau

• 🚙 Meet the 4x4 vehicles for the return journey

• 🕘 ~9:00 PM – Approximate arrival back in Muscat
