Itinerary:

🚙 5:30 AM – Pick-up from your location in Muscat (Nizwa/Birkat Al Mouz)
Early departure toward Jabal Akhdar.


🏔️ ~8:00 AM – Arrival & Start of Hike
Begin from Masirat Al Jawameed, entering a remote mountain zone.


🥾 Morning – Long Traverse Section
Steady hiking across rocky terrain, open plateaus, and gradual elevation changes.


🌿 Midday – Break in Remote Section
Pause in a quiet part of the route. Optional swim if water is present.


🥾 Afternoon – Return Section
Continue back along the same route at a steady pace.


🚙 ~3:00 PM – End of Hike & Departure
Finish and begin return to Muscat.

Important Notes:

Fitness Level: This is a demanding 16 km hike requiring strong endurance and the ability to maintain a steady pace for 6–7 hours.

Terrain & Route Character: The route follows remote mountain terrain with rocky paths, uneven footing, and limited trail definition in some sections.

Remoteness: The hike takes place in isolated areas of Jabal Akhdar with no infrastructure or external support access.

Water & Conditions: Water availability is seasonal. Carry sufficient hydration — no guaranteed refill points.

Logistics & Access: Access requires a 4x4 vehicle. The hike follows an out-and-back route starting and ending at the same point.
