Itinerary Overview
A compact journey through Oman’s shifting landscapes — from flowing wadis to high mountain horizons and blooming terraces.
Each day moves with its own rhythm, balancing nature, culture, and quiet moments without rush.
In rose season, Jabal Akhdar adds a rare sensory layer — soft colors, subtle scents, and living tradition.
Day 1 – Wadi Shab & Coastal Landscapes
Pick-up from your location in Muscat and drive along the coastal road.
Stop at Bimmah Sinkhole, a natural limestone crater filled with clear turquoise water. Continue to Wadi Shab — one of Oman’s most iconic canyons — for a light hike and swimming experience through narrow rock formations.
Later, visit Tiwi white beach and the nearby Romantic Cave for dramatic coastal views and photo stops.
Return to Muscat in the evening.
Overnight: Intercity Hotel Muscat
Day 2 – Jabal Shams & Grand Canyon
Drive into the Hajar Mountains and visit the traditional village of Misfat Al Abryeen, known for its terraces and falaj irrigation system.
Continue to Jabal Shams, Oman’s highest mountain, where the famous Balcony Walk follows the edge of the Grand Canyon with wide panoramic views.
The landscape shifts from village life to dramatic mountain scenery, offering both perspective and quiet space.
Overnight: Al Dar Inn Nizwa
Day 3 – Jabal Akhdar & Rose Season
Drive up to Jabal Akhdar, the Green Mountain, known for its cooler climate and terraced agriculture.
During the rose season, walk through blooming rose fields and visit a traditional rose water distillery to experience local production methods.
Continue to Wadi Bani Habib, a hidden abandoned village surrounded by steep mountain slopes.
Overnight: Back to Muscat
