Itinerary Overview

4-Day Oman Sightseeing Tour

Wadi Shab • Sur • Wahiba Sands • Nizwa • Misfat Al Abriyeen • Jabal Shams

Swim between towering canyon walls, watch sunset over the dunes of Wahiba Sands and explore traditional mountain villages before hiking above the Grand Canyon of Arabia.

This private four-day Oman tour brings together freshwater wadis, coastal heritage, Bedouin hospitality and mountain scenery, with three distinctive overnight stays along the route.

Day 1 – Wadi Shab & Sur: Canyon to Coast 💦⚓

Leave Muscat behind and follow Oman’s eastern coastline towards the turquoise pools of Wadi Shab.

  • 🚙 Morning pick-up from your hotel in Muscat; airport pick-up can be arranged for suitable early arrivals

  • 🌊 Scenic coastal drive, with photo stop at Bimmah Sinkhole along the way

  • 🚣 Short local boat crossing to the Wadi Shab trailhead

  • 🥾 Guided hike through the canyon, passing palm gardens, rock formations and freshwater pools

  • 🏊 Swim through a series of turquoise natural pools

  • 💦 Continue to the hidden waterfall chamber, reached through a narrow opening

  • ⚓ Explore Sur, known for its maritime history and traditional wooden dhow building

  • 📸 Visit the Al Ayjah waterfront and enjoy coastal views before checking in

🏨 Overnight: Sur Grand Hotel

Allow approximately 3–4 hours for the Wadi Shab experience, depending on your pace. Swimming is needed to reach the waterfall chamber (life jackets will be provided); guests who prefer can enjoy the hike and relax beside the first pools.

  • 🌄 Enjoy the early morning desert light before breakfast

  • 🚙 Depart towards Nizwa, one of Oman’s historic cultural centres

  • 🏰 Explore Nizwa Fort, including its courtyards, exhibitions and views over the town
