Wadi Halfeen is one of Oman’s most challenging and awe-inspiring canyons - a true expedition for those seeking the ultimate adventure. This demanding 16 km route takes you deep into the heart of Jabal Akhdar, through majestic cliffs, emerald pools, and towering waterfalls that few have ever reached.
The day begins before dawn and lasts up to 14 hours of full-on exploration.
With 18 rope descents - including several over 100 meters - Halfeen is a test of endurance, teamwork, and courage. Every section brings new surprises: massive rock walls, crystal-clear pools, narrow slots, and a wilderness that feels untouched by time.
This is not just a canyoning trip - it’s a journey into the raw power of Oman’s landscape.

Itinerary:
🚐 Day 1 – Pick-up from Your Location in Muscat (Evening)
Participants depart from Muscat towards Jabal Akhdar (~2.5h drive). Available options:
1) Camping 🏕 We provide a tent and a sleeping bag.
2) Stay in a guesthouse in Jabal Akhdar (+15 OMR).
🌄 Day 2 – 4:30 AM – Start of the Wadi Halfeen Adventure
Begin your descent into one of Oman’s most breathtaking canyons. The early start ensures cooler temperatures and plenty of daylight for the full journey.
🧗♂️ Morning – Series of Rappels & Waterfalls (up to 120 m)
Experience the thrill of 18 rope descents — each unique, from short drops to massive waterfalls. Our certified leaders ensure full safety and guidance throughout.
💦 Midday – Swimming, Jumps & Narrow Passages
Navigate pools, climb over boulders, and take refreshing swims through deep emerald waters. Optional jumps add extra excitement to the route.
🥪 Afternoon – Snack Break & Scenic Rest Stop
Recharge with snacks and drinks surrounded by dramatic canyon scenery before tackling the final sections.
🌅 Evening – Canyon Exit & Pick-up
After completing the full 16 km loop, reach the canyon exit point where a vehicle transfer awaits to take you back to the meeting area. Expect return around 5:30–6:30 PM.

✓ Difficulty: This is a demanding, long-distance canyon suitable only for experienced participants.
✓ Rappelling: 18 rope drops up to 120 m. No fear of heights is essential.
